With a collection now containing over 150 product families created by leading international designers, the famous design company exports 75% of total sales and operates in over 130 countries around the world, thanks to a retail network with about 130 flagship stores, 200 shop-in-shops and over 2500 multibrand points of sale (including the various Kartell Partner and Kartell Partner Light solutions). For Kartell 2013 was a year of growth. The company has entered into an important joint venture in China with Gold Bond Enterprises to create the company GB Kart Ltd, with the task of representing the brand and distributing Kartell products on this market. Kartell China will open 50 flasghip stores over the next 5 years (two have already been opened, starting in May). The countries of the Middle East, with a particular focus on the Gulf States, also represent new objectives for growth. At the start of 2013 Kartell selected the company Chaloub, a reference point in the fashion and luxury sector, to represent it in crucial markets like the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman. For the start of 2014 Kartell plans to open flagship stores in Doha and Dubai. In Brazil, at the end of November, the company opened three new flagship stores in Recife, Santo André and Curitibain in just one week. The expansion program in this promising market calls for the development, over the next five years, of relationship with at least 50 high-end dealers. Finally, Kartell continues to reinforce its presence all over Europe, in Russia and the Eastern European countries, in North-Central-South America and the Far East. Over the last 4 months Kartell has opened new stores in Stuttgart, Valencia, Barcelona, Johannesburg, Puerto Rico, Monterrey and Istanbul.
