Laminam, a specialist in the production of ceramic slabs in large formats with minimum thickness for architecture and decorating, has recently opened a new production plant at the Vorsino Industrial Park, a major productive zone in the Kaluga Oblast, about 100 km from Moscow.
The plant produces surfaces in porcelain stoneware in the 1000x3000mm size, with a thickness of 3 or 5 mm, using the same innovative technologies made in Italy of the main factory at Fiorano Modenese.
Laminam thus becomes the first and only producer of ceramic slabs in Russia, taking an important step forward in the perspective of internationalization and expansion of production.
The new factory has an area of 14,000 square meters and embodies all the characteristics of the “Laminam model” by using the technological machinery produced by System Group, of which the Italian company is a part.
An avant-garde production process based on an exclusive system for the compacting of carefully selected clay and feldspar, with refined decoration systems, hybrid gas-electric ovens for low energy consumption, and dry cutting systems that reduce consumption of water and purification costs.
With an initial investment in technology of 25 million euros, which will reach 40 million, and annual production potential of 1 million square meters of ceramic slab, in Russia Laminam has created a new, efficient, highly automated production facility that significantly increases the firms production capacity of 1000x3000mm surfaces, to meet growing demand on local and international markets.
