The historic German camera brand opens its second space in the capital with a special event open to the public and an exhibition by Stefano Guindani.

Leica Camera Italia, the Italian affiliate of the German leader in the production and sale of photographic equipment and precision optical instruments, opens Leica Store Rome Piazza di Spagna, at Via dei Due Macelli 57, on 23 June, in an exclusive and very central location.

The new store is complementary to the points of sale already operating in the city, namely Leica Store Roma of La Placa Group and Sabatini, a point of reference in Rome for amateur and professional photographers for years now.

The space, designed by Studio DC10 of Milan, has an area of 110 square meters and reflects – in its architecture, shapes and materials – the simplicity and sophistication that have always represented the brand’s values.

Leica Store Roma – Piazza di Spagna will be the ideal place for a 360° experience of photography, offering the full range of Leica products: from the latest innovations such as the first professional mirrorless Leica SL, the Leica M-D, without monitor, to the legendary models, Leica M and M-Monochrom, all the way to the “younger” digital models such as the Leica T, Leica X-U and Leica Q.

The store will also be a space for encounters with famous photographers, workshops and portfolio reviews, with a bookshop area offering an amazing selection of Italian and international photography books.

For the opening on 23 June, Leica presents a special event, open to the public: from 14.00 to 18.00, in fact, you can visit the new store and experience the excellence of the brand with the red dot.

The day will be completed by the exhibition “Sguardi d’Attore” featuring portraits of movie stars and celebrities immortalized by Stefano Guindani, a reporter and photographer international fashion. The images on display will be for sale and the proceeds will be donated to the Policlinico Gemelli hospital in Rome, for the management of the first movie theater built in an Italian health center. A project made possible by Medicinema Italy Onlus, a partner of Rai Cinema.
