Marni moves and opens a new flagship store at Via Montenapoleone 12, in the courtyard of a historic building.

The project is the result of close collaboration between Consuelo Castiglioni and Luz Maria Jaramillo, in charge of interior design at Marni, and creative support for the projects Marni Prisma and Salone del Mobile.

Marni Prisma, the project connected with the events of the 20th anniversary, is the source of inspiration for the design of the boutique. A space of harmonious coexistence of different geometries, materials and atmospheres: the many facets of a prism that narrate different aspects of a single, varied identity.

The boutique of 310 m2 has two levels. The entrance opens to a geometric space, imagined as a “box” whose volume extends upward, sloped at the sides, opening them at the intersection and on a wall set aside for accessories.

One important structural element is the staircase leading to the level below, whose parapet in slats of concrete contrasts with a glass balustrade. The high wall between the levels is clad in recycled wood from the construction process.

The areas for footwear, on both levels, feature geometric carpets and small sofas in white ponyskin or sage green velvet, while niches with shelves on canvas bases contain the products.

The colors and materials play with forceful contrasts: the concrete floor with geometric marble inserts, the white walls, the carpets composed of rectangles in different tones, the blues and greens of the furnishings in painted brass. The mirrors become structural and architectural parts, detached from the wall and inserted between the floor and ceiling.
