The Florentine watch brand opens a boutique in London, its first in the UK, on New Bond Street.
The new Panerai space, 150 m2 on two levels, has been designed by Patricia Urquiola as an interpretation of the aesthetic and technical codes of the historic brand, respecting its identity with an exercise in timeless design.
The concept, with custom crafted furnishings, applies materials like carved oak, burnished brass and cannettato glass to convey a sense of the history of Officine Panerai, with references to its Florentine origins and the marine universe, in tune with the company’s history as a supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy in the 1930s and 1940s.
Studio Urquiola has also designed the new stores in Milan, Florence, Hong Kong, Miami, New York and Paris.
