The new B&B Italia podcast on the design culture and the art of staying at home

Edited by David Plaisant, The Couch, B&B Italia official podcast, in addition to highlighting the centrality of the home in these extraordinary times, it wants to tell design enthusiasts about the company, a brand that symbolizes made in Italy, curiosities, anecdotes and unpublished facts.

The podcast will also deal with a broad spectrum of content related to the design culture, through dialogues with a series of international characters designers, writers, collectors and curators to question the spaces in which we live and how industrial design has influenced the way we inhabit our homes today.

This week the third episode of the first series consisting of seven events is launched. Crafted industry is dedicated to Camaleonda, the historic sofa designed 50 years ago by Mario Bellini, told through the intervention of the architect.

 

The first two episodes, already online since mid-May, are: What makes a home?, to find out how crucial the domestic space is for ours; with guests the designer Michael Anastassiades, the writer Tom Morris and the design teacher Penny Sparke, and Know your couch who, talks about the iconic B&B Italia chairs such as UP5_6 by Gaetano Pesce, Sity by Antonio Citterio and Le Bambole by Mario Bellini; among the guests the architects Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni, the gallery owner Nina Yashar and the author Catharine Rossi.
