Interni will be on hand at the London Design Festival (14 - 22 September 2019) with an encounter on the relationship between architecture, design, art and environment, in collaboration with I-Made, the event for which Interni is the media partner, which under the art direction of Giulio Cappellini celebrates the excellence of Made in Italy and the exclusive expertise of Italian craftsmen and manufacturers.
Design Experience: the quality of design Made in Italy is the theme of the evening session whose protagonists are Aldo Cibic, who interprets iconic Italian Design from products to urban planning, the Italian firm Lazzarini Pickering, designers with a tailor-made approach to projects on various scales, and Richard Woods, the British artist whose work involves painting, sculpture and installations. The moderator is Deyan Sudjic, director of the Design Museum of London.
The fil rouge connecting the speakers is a conceptual approach to design and constant research on new ways of shaping the spaces of everyday life. Architects and designers who blend art, design, architcture and urbanism to construct new scenarios for contemporary urban locations.
Practice and knowledge are two themes connected with creative activity. Never before as in this historical moment have design objects contributed to transform environments into fluid, dynamic, multifunctional spaces, conceived to welcome the multiple and versatile actions of everyday life. In this sense, design for architecture has become a vehicle of new values: ecosustainability, innovation, iconic identity, customization.
