In September, after an obligatory intermission, the Italian Design System restarts through creativity, production and communication, nurturing the desire for recovery. Among the initiatives of Milan Design City, Interni magazine promotes the Designer's Week 2020 from 28 September to 10 October 2020

From 28 September to 10 October, the municipal government of Milan fuels the city with an urban initiative on design, seen as a vehicle of culture and innovation, with a particular focus on the aspects of sustainability and the circular economy. The title of the event Milano Design City underlines the driving force of the city in the field of design in this phase of rebirth. Companies and institutions can take part in the initiative and enter the programming of Milano Design City by responding to the call for participation issued by the City of Milan starting on Friday 26 June, at the city’s website.

For the occasion, Interni organizes Designer’s Week 2020 and creates a network of all the appointments, presentations, conferences, real and virtual debates related to the new collections and product previews that will take place in the showrooms and galleries of milan and at corporate headquarters in italy and abroad, using the magazine’s platforms of communication.

The initiative takes its cue from the 1st Designer’s Week Milano organized by Interni in 1990, the year in which for organizational reasons the Salone del Mobile could not be held. That year, Interni and coordinated the initiatives of about 100 showrooms and galleries of the world of design, laying the groundwork for what was to become the FuoriSalone. Thirty years later, in this anomalous 2020, Interni reignites the creative spirit of Milan and promotes a program of communication that spreads and amplifies projects, opinions, stories, products, ideas and the people who generate them.

The program includes: a printed and digital Guide for Designer’s Week Milano, with all the events of the week, presented in alphabetical order and day by day, also with sponsored campaigns on the social networks; a digital daily, the Interni Design Journal, with a daily newsletter; a circuit of 8 Dooh Led walls in the most strategic locations of Milan to broadcast the calendar and contents of the events; the Interni Meeting Point, the technological core of information, where encounters will be organized, and where visitors can see video walls displaying all the appointments in the calendar at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design School, in via Cerva 24, Milan.
