Anthony Hudson founded the award-winning Hudson Architects in 2002. The practice has produced an exciting range of modern and innovative work, including public buildings and spaces, urban and rural regeneration, landscape design, bespoke homes, housing and arts and education buildings.
As well as the expertise developed over 30 years working as a teacher and architect, Anthony has a keen interest in design and its direct impact on economic issues and the positive development of society.
Anthony is Deputy Chair of the Design South-East panel, with particular responsibility for the east of England, and also sits on the design review panel for the Greater Norwich Development Partnership. He is Visiting Professor of Architecture at Norwich University of the Arts, and is currently President of the Norfolk Association of Architects.
Through careful study of the context and its points of reference – and at times through adventurous experimentation – the studio Hudson Architects has developed a fascinating approach to placemaking in rural settings. The director of the firm Anthony Hudson will present a series of recent case studies, demonstrating how the practice explores an architectural approach to setting through shape, material and texture.
