Now one of the finest interpreters of Italian style in the world, Lema was founded in 1970 by the Meroni family, still managing the firm by relying on a tradition that dates back to the early postwar era.

Lema was the first Italian company to develop a system using load-bearing posts in a range of different finishes, and to construct wardrobes in custom sizes for clients. The group has divisions for the home, the contract market and the office, with International Office Concept.

With 250 employees and art direction by Piero Lissoni, today Lema is a leader among Italian manufacturers of furnishing systems. On 4 March the firm opened its first flagship store in the heart of London, at 183 Kings Road.

The new showroom designed by Piero Lissoni has been conceived as a stage for the different offerings of the group: Lema Casa and Lema Contract.
