The Everlasting Plastics platform for artists and designers will engage the public in transforming plastic debris from waterways, landfills and roads into a resource. Becoming a Global Forum to explore the world's complex relationship with plastic

Everlasting Plastics explores the "cultural ubiquity" of plastics and our dependence on them.

A collective exhibition that brings together five artists and designers whose works take into consideration our relationship with plastic to suggest potential alternative uses.

On display site-specific works by Xavi Aguirre (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Assistant Professor of Architecture); Simon Anton (designer from Detroit); Ang Li (Northeastern University School of Architecture, Assistant Professor); Norman Teague (Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, professor at the School of Design); and Lauren Yeager (Cleveland sculptor).

Reversing a global calamity

"The aesthetics and materiality of form pertain to art and architecture. Everlasting Plastics bridges this gap by acting as an entry point in reconsidering our relationships with the material world", he says Baldenebro.

"As the climate crisis becomes a tangible reality, our everyday objects must be agents of change.

This exhibition extends Spaces' commitment to supporting artistic experimentation by bringing together a range of practices that are examining, rescuing and reversing a global calamity."
