Anemos

Pedrali, a company founded, in the town of Palazzolo sull’Oglio in the province of Brescia, as an artisan workshop of wrought iron outdoor seating, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The company, which under the leadership of the founder’s sons has relocated its headquarters to Mornico al Serio (Bergamo), has become a solid reality with 340 employees, representing an example of success in 100% Made in Italy family entrepreneurship. The first step in the celebration of this important milestone, which will culminate in a major event in the autumn, is the launch of new collections for contract and home, which pursue a production philosophy made of beauty, tradition and innovation. The new Anemos table designed by Pio & Tito Toso stands out in this unprecedented series of products of contemporary furniture, designed to fluidly change context between indoor and outdoor. Characterized by simple, architectural shapes, Anemos is particularly notable for its base, composed by two separate shells secured to the top. Although made of concrete, the two pieces seem to free themselves from their weight by taking on a flexible and sinuous shape thanks to a double curvature. The result is a table that is unexpectedly light to the eye but nonetheless with an important weight that makes it stable, solid and capable of supporting even large top. The design aims to enhance the materiality of concrete, giving it a new expressive language thanks to the matte and slightly shaded surface, which can be natural or clay-colored.
