Architect Peter Marino signs the work Totem, created for
Venini using the most extraordinary glass processing techniques. The sculptural object stands on a solid base in black Zimbabwe marble and is composed of delicate blown glass elements with soft, irregular shapes and organic suggestions. It is a tribute to nature made precious by the hot-worked gold or silver foil decorations and by the surfaces with an iridescent effect. The work, available in two sizes, is also offered in a luminous sculpture version. In a limited edition of eight and four artist’s proofs, each is developed in a refined palette of neutral shades that are brightened by flashes of light.
