Calilla by Natuzzi Italia

Elena Salmistraro is one of the protagonists of The Circle of Harmony 2021/ 2022 collection by Natuzzi Italia, the lifestyle brand of Made in Italy artisan design. The designer has been invited by the creative director Pasquale Junior Natuzzi to interpret the DNA of the company and to confront herself with the need to redefine objects and functions in the light of the new challenges of living. Under the guiding concept Live the Transition, Salmistraro designed the Calilla sofa, an innovative recliner, in which aesthetics and function are poetically combined. The playful image of the project, which reveals a particular attention to the current needs of multifunctional spaces, draws inspiration from the Mediterranean Sea: backdrops, colors, underwater life forms are evoked in the shapes and lines, giving rise to an unexpected configuration.
