Stéphane Parmentier designed this collection for Giobagnara - consisting of coffee tables, console tables, stools, table lamps and accessories - along the principle of a grid, like the first video games that appeared in the late Seventies. The primary forms are combined with the preciousness of vegetable-dyed leather, creating statement pieces where the idea of a simple shape is translated into a 3D structure that refers to minimalist art and conceptualism. Rectangular cuts reveal the leather’s thickness, underscoring the resolutely graphic aspect of each piece and evoking the perforated cards used for the first musical recordings and the earliest computers.
