The Poêle Chair (French for ‘pan’) designed by Philippe Starck for
Alessi has been inspired by a piece of kitchenware. It is made using Alessi traditional cold-press metal technology and based on the simple steel frying pan. It is a monoshell chair in 18/10 stainless steel mirror polished with structure in brown dye beech wood and exists in 2 versions with and without armchairs. For Alberto Alessi, it is a celebration of 100 years of working with metal and more than 30 years of collaborating with a man, Philippe Starck, he considers a prodigious visionary, example of Alessi’s ability to bring poetry into the world of industrial manufacture.
