Legami by Tai Ping

Born from the collaboration of Elena Salmistraro and Tai Ping, the Legami collection consists of six carpets made with the artisanal hand tufting technique. The inspiration of the project is human relationships, represented by the hand, as a symbol of exchange, closeness, and humanity. Through stylized graphics that outline sinuous and complex shapes, the designer has developed the concept into six carpets, one for each finger and one dedicated to the hand. The color palette includes saturated hues such as blues, greens and browns, as well as pastel colors from yellow to light blue and pink, harmoniously combined, sometimes blended into refined degradés. The rich materiality of the textile surfaces is obtained thanks to the alternation of sections in New Zealand wool, backgrounds in silk and wool felt.
