Ukiyo by Tribù

Monica Armani designs the Ukiyo outdoor furniture collection for Tribù, consisting of an armchair, lounge chair, lounger and dining table with ceramic top. The material used for the framesis plantation teak from Java. “I was inspired by the signs and the sophisticated Japanese culture, especially their eye for detail which also describes my design aesthetic. I worked on the balance between curved and taut lines and the visual weight of each element that concludes this collection.” This is how the designer explains the genesis of the project, fascinated during a trip to Japan by the graphic system, with its precise and ethereal lines at the same time, by the forms of classical architecture, from votive temples to everyday objects.
