With its rounded lines, the Adell armchair by Lievore + Altherr Désile Park evokes a soothingly natural shape. The shell made from 80% recycled polypropylene with fully removable padding thanks to the absence of glues are special features of Arper's latest proposal, conceived with a focus on environmental sustainability. Soft and lightweight, yet strong and compact, this elegant chair has been designed as a crossover product, ideal both for indoor and outdoor settings. To meet different needs and uses the shell is available in a wide range of versions: fully upholstered or in distinctively textured polypropylene, to be combined with a cushion, applied rigid or removable padded, or in soft upholstery for the whole front part.
The technique of laser etching was used to evoke the idea of nature – the source of inspiration for the seashell shape imagined by the designer Alberto Lievore – and create the optimal visual thickness. And a lot of work also went into the fully hand-drawn lines of the printed texture, replicated on the structure by laser etching. Adell is available with metal or wooden legs or in the version with a metal glide base. These configurations, combined with timeless styling, create a product with great durability, designed to reduce waste and adding refuse to the environment.
