Geometric lines combined with a vintage-inspired design are the key elements of the new Romby chair designed by GamFratesi for Porro. The base is in the form of a truncated cone made from solid ash wood, its flared shape made of segments as an example of fine cabinetry, is surmounted by a soft, padded, compact swivel seat. It can be tinted black or transparent, in the natural version. Romby finds its perfect location in a cozy dining room or work environment: a cocoon armchair with impeccable proportions and workmanship, which welcomes the body leaving it free to move, enveloping it with a feeling of great lightness. The foam-padded seat is injection molded in the metal frame, then it is upholstered in leather or fabric that adheres perfectly to its sinuous forms. Romby is the outcome of great craft skills combined with industrial production, to create an iconic piece with an attractive design.
