Archaic magnetism

Founded by the young and enterprising Laura Abe Vettoretti and Maria Dolores Uribe, Unno is the first digital gallery dedicated to Latin American design that intertwines the millennial wisdom – ancestral and sacred – of local craftsmen with the creative potential of contemporary artists

The new room

Andrea Branzi’s (simple but) conceptual poetics is confronted with furnishings and everyday objects exhibited: a contamination of signs and experiences is staged. In direct dialogue with the city of Milan

Materic avant-garde

With a material and conceptual, artisanal and experimental – but also photographic and communicative – project, FangoRosa declines the material in six compositions inspired by the Italian artistic avant-gardes of the twentieth century

Campo di Marte

A Gesamtkunstwerk, a total work of art – pictorial and three-dimensional, geometric and playful. Colorful. This is how Nathalie Du Pasquier’s solo show at MACRO in Rome presents itself. A “silent symphony”, with walls painted as if they were immense canvases, composed by more than a hundred works produced from the 1980s to the present

Sculpt the everyday

Ironic and evocative, material and artisanal. Toscanini’s centenary clothes hangers (1920-2020) were made by five artists who interpreted and sculpted, starting from a block of wood, their personal vision of an object of everyday use, transforming it into a work of art

The gallery is closed but the reflection is open

Il Vicolo art gallery in Milano is closed to the public, but the first installation of ‘Rewild’ is visible from the outside. A synaesthetic and empathic experience – from the street – with all the senses. A reflection on issues related to Climate Change and at the same time a symbolic gesture for the city that wants and must restart

Pastiche

Paolo Gonzato’s solo exhibition in the Milanese spaces of Officine Saffi presents a corpus of unpublished ceramic works. Between art and design, between fragments and sediments, between ancient civilizations and omens of a dystopian world, the common thread is the color purple

That’s the only way I can come

The large panoramic window of the MASI in Lugano is transformed into a giant screen with large lettering composing quotes elaborated by the artist Nora Turato scrolling. Visible only from the outside is an innovative and sensitive response to restrictions due to the health emergency

Slow design

Young and enterprising, they have started a small artisan workshop in the North Italy, permeated by Mediterranean inspirations that look (also) to the Souther. The new experimental art brand Studio Terre creates unique pieces – ancestral, everyday, imperfect – by shaping clay with your hands

Art for not ‘slide down’

Following the philosophy of both Maria Lai and Stefano Boeri, the Call promoted by the Stazione dell’Arte Foundation allowed to create a choral story and a composite reflection on the ‘landslides’ that characterize our age: a sort of archive of memory, common heritage of thoughts and ideas to ‘mend the fractures of the world’
