Tradition and contemporary style in the renovation of the CMMA headquarters in France

Painted blue

Carl Hansen&Son continues its tradition in 2020, celebrating the birthday of the designer Hans J. Wegner with a limited edition of his iconic Wishbone Chair. Originally created in 1949 and produced in 1950, the Wishbone Chair was the first of five chairs Wegner designed for Carl Hansen & Son: produced in Denmark, in the plant on the island of Funen, its 14 parts are still assembled by hand today, while its seat in paper cord is woven by hand from 120 meters of material. This year the Wishbone Chair takes on a Navy Blue he, the trend color for 2020, and the model has been enhanced with a glossy finish. The new color of the CH24 was selected in collaboration with the designer Ilse Crawford and her team at Studioilse.

While the passion for collecting spreads thanks to the web, the world of design opts for typological collections. To create a link between people and objects, and to show that design – the kind that lasts and counts, anonymous or famous – comes from knowledge and a love of things and those who use them

Italian Bauhaus

An eclectic designer, ahead of his time and not very well known, Ivo Pannaggi can be seen as the sole Italian exponent of the famous German school. From furniture in metal tubing to other pieces in Macassar wood, expressing an idea of luxury free of ornament, his creations narrate the legacy of Mies van der Rohe and the art avant-gardes of the 20th century
