The Magellano 25 Metri is the latest craft from Azimut Yachts in this range created for the pleasure of long, peaceful cruises. An unusual yacht it grew out of the encounter between the lines of two masters of design. On the one hand Ken Freivokh, a nautical genius, who created its timeless outer lines, untouched by fashions and trends. On the other Vincenzo De Cotiis, an internationally renowned artist and architect, who designed the interiors with an unmistakable vocabulary based on uniqueness.
The central element, the focal point of the project, is the fully glazed superstructure, conceived to create the emotion of a penthouse on the sea. The huge saloon impresses by its originality: the setting is an area completely flooded with natural light where the sofas have variable and organic forms that shape the space with different depths. The internal furniture recalls the external furnishings to create visual continuity between indoor/outdoor. The forward bulkhead is “dematerialized” by a mirrored wall that not only reflects the light but replicates the marine environment in the heart of the boat. Stylistic stratagems reappear in the master suite, which conveys the impression that the space is dilated due to the inclined position of the walk-in wardrobe with mirror facing, which creates striking optical effects.
In this yacht fiberglass receives a new life, becoming itself a design element. Handcrafted with multiple layers and embellished with bronze powder, it creates parchment-colored surfaces, characterized by an artistic cloud effect and inclusions evoking precious stones. Vincenzo De Cotiis has combined it with other types of materials and essences such as brushed Verde Alpi marble, dark walnut wood, carpeting, polished brass and wood lacquered and ribbed to create a pleasant and original play of contrasts.
Built by Azimut Yachts, a shipyard always at the forefront of research and technology, the Magellano 25 Metri is part of the Carbon-Tech generation and marks another step forward in the pioneering research by Azimut Yachts into this material. Great care has also been lavished on reducing noise, vibrations and emissions.
