Mario Cucinella explains his point of view on the meaning of a project aimed at environmental and economic sustainability and inclusivity, at all scales of intervention

From his Bologna studio, Mario Cucinella explains his point of view on the meaning of a project aimed at environmental and economic sustainability and inclusiveness, at all scales of intervention. Because architects and designers, as you recalled, work on the future and this is above all a great civil responsibility. Especially towards those who will come after us and will have to compete with epochal choices. The fundamental issue remains that of re-establishing the relationship between nature and architecture and creating buildings that live with the environment. Buildings, on a human scale, in a harmonious and healthy relationship with the city and the landscape. Buildings that breathe, designed with innovative, sensitive and permeable materials, buildings that do not consume too much energy and that do not produce too much CO2, responsible for climate change and the repercussions on our health.
