Local North African creativity meets design. And the result is widespread economic, social and cultural development. A project supported by Italy and the United Nations by Giulio Vinaccia

Creativity is not a cost but a resource. Starting from this premise, the UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) has been active for years to transform the pockets of artisan and design know-how in the southern Mediterranean into economic, social and cultural resources. Such as? By planning the integration between existing resources, creating connections, fostering cultural and economic exchanges. At the head of the project is an Italian designer, Giulio Vinaccia, who for this work was awarded the XXIV Compasso d'oro in the "Design as a development too" category, together with his brother Valerio.
